If there was any doubt in your mind that making connections on Twitter can be good for your business, that doubt is about to get a massive beat down.
Enter Triberr.
My friend Dino Dogan of DIYBlogger.net along with Dan Cristo launched this site a few weeks ago and were silly enough to let me in during the beta phase. Thank you Dino!
So here’s the long and short of it:
- It’s an invite only site. Once you’re in a tribe you get to create 3 of your own and invite more peeps.
- Each tribe can have 8 total members. Once you hit that magic number, your tribe can grow.
- Everyone in a tribe automatically tweets the posts of all other tribe members. You can be choosy, but that’s an ass thing to do. After all, you are in a tribe with these folks.
The tagline of Triberr is “the reach multiplier” and it’s very true. Let’s look at some numbers.
Reach Out And Touch, Well Everyone
I am in the mighty Jaffa tribe. Let’s take a look at the inside here, namely how many followers each tribe member has.
- Robert Dempsey (me): 5,423
- Dino Dogan: 7,363
- Kazia Mullin: 1,056
- Gini Dietrich: 17,129
- Aaron Lee: 164,025
- Ana Hoffman: 5,356
- Danny Brown: 28,606
- Cori Padgett: 30,026
- Kimberly Castleberry: 35,802
- Mark Schaefer: 21,002
- Neal Schaffer: 42,085
Total reach: 357,873 people on Twitter. I have three words for this: holy monkey butt! And that’s one of my tribes. I’m building 3 others too.
Let’s look at how this translates to getting a metric ton of traffic.
Welcome To The Stats
We’ll start with the most obvious – traffic. Here’s what Google has to say on the matter:
But how much of that is from Twitter? Let’s see…
But it isn’t all peaches and cream here my friend. We need some context around this, namely all the other stats. And here is that:
There is always room for improvement, however…
It’s All Uphill From Here
While the other stats around the traffic frankly suck, it’s still way too early to form a solid opinion of how effective this is in terms of leads and sales. I can say that during this time I have increased the number of:
- Members in IM Training HQ
- RSS subscribers
- Blog email subscribers (getting posts via email)
That’s a great start and very good for using Triberr for 10 days. Keep in mind that this is the first exposure that the followers of my fellow tribe members are having to me.
There are the unmeasureable factors from this, such as:
- Hugely increased exposure to audiences that may never have known me otherwise
- Increased exposure of my products and services
- Additional insight into the visitors of my site, especially if these folks become regular visitors
- And more ninja badassery
Long story short – this is pure awesome.
What Do You Think?
So what do you think of all this? While it’s still very early, what do you think this suggests for future traffic?
Let’s talk about it in the comments below.
I’ll see you there…
